GDPR Privacy

GDPR stands for 'General Data Protection Regulation' and as of May 2018 is the new standard for online privacy introduced by the EU.

The following is a short description of what data you provide us and what we do with that data.  If you require more details then please feel free to contact us.

What information do I give you?

When you shop using DCPexpress (this site) in order to process and deliver your purchased goods we require you to provide the following information about you:

Your Name
Your Home Address
Your preferred delivery address if different
Your Telephone number
Your email address

What 'cookies' of information do you gather?

When you use DCPExpress, our website uses 'cookies' which enable features on the website to work correctly.  This 'cookie' of information usually consists of the type of web browser you are using, operating system of your computer and other technical stuff to enable your computer to purchase from us.  We do not use tracking 'cookies' and this information is NOT passed to any third party. This website does not use analytical cookies of any form.

Data obtained by the use of this website is used solely for the function of purchasing items.

Payments are made through an external secure gateway (Sagepay) and as a result, this website does not pass on any personal or private information to third parties for analysis or marketing.

What information do we share?

DCPexpress does not share data from our users with any third party.  We do use secure data transactions to allow online payments.  This information is sent securely to SagePay who handle the payments for us.  We do not store or even see your credit card details as these are only handled by SagePay and you enter card details on the secure SagePay site.

How secure is my data on this site?

We take your personal data security seriously and any information you send us on this site is transmitted using a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) server.  You may see a padlock at the top of your web browser and also may see 'https://' at the beginning of the web address.  The 's' indicates the use of SSL.

We do not handle credit card payments directly and use a trusted secure service from SagePay.  As a result, this site never see's credit card information and we are obliged to review security procedures annually in order to remain compliant with the 'Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)'.

To keep yourself protected, it is important when using any online store to protect against unauthorised access to your account password and to your computer. Make sure you sign off when you finish purchasing on a shared computer as your password will need to be re-entered by you thus protecting your online account.  This is common sense and applies to any online store.

How do I check my personal data?

When you log in and select 'My Account' from the menu at the top you can access/amend all of your data that we at DCPexpress have.  We do not have any additional data such as credit card details.  Do bear in mind that should you opt to delete information, you may find we are unable to process future orders.  An example may be the removal of your address details.

What personal data can I change?

Well, you can change anything but do remember that we need basic details to process orders.  Obviously if you move house you will need to change these details.  If you do not wish to receive any emailed news letters from us, you can opt in or out of receiving these as well.  Do remember that we do not hold any information about your credit cards so these details are not changeable.
